Arsenal eye move for highly-rated Chelsea youngster

The Gunners are considering a bid for Chelsea forward Armando Broja in the summer transfer window.

The 20-year-old English-born Albanian has impressed on loan at Southampton. He has scored six times in 20 Premier League games, capturing Mikel Arteta’s interest.

The Arsenal boss is on the prowl for a new striker as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has left for Barcelona, while Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah’s contracts expire in the summer. [Football London]

Chelsea identify summer targets

The Blues have listed Sevilla defender Jules Kounde as a ‘priority’ for the summer transfer window. West Ham’s Declan Rice and Monaco’s Aurelien Tchouameni are both lined-up as midfield targets.

Goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga and midfielders Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Ross Barkley are all expected to leave. Chelsea won’t make Saul Niguez’s loan deal from Atletico Madrid a permanent one either. Barcelona determined to secure Gavi & Araujo’s futures

The Catalan giants have made extending Gavi and Ronald Araujo’s contracts a priority.

Both players are out of contract in the summer of 2023. Several top European clubs are interested in the pair. In fact, Liverpool and Manchester United were tracking Araujo in November.

But Barcelona hope to avoid losing Gavi and Araujo on free transfers. Despite some setbacks in initial talks between the club and the players’ respective representatives, both parties want a new deal done. [ESPN]
