Mesut Ozil has taken to side with Arsenal teammate Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang amid recent criticism from Toni Kroos.

Arsenal star Mesut Ozil is in full support of club captain Aubameyang amid a recent row of words with Real Madrid star Toni Kroos.

The Gabonese striker is well known for donning superhero masks after scoring.

Just recently, Kroos described Aubameyang and his trademark celebrations as ‘very silly’ on his podcast Einfach mal Luppen.

The Gunners captain also hit back with a response of his own, saying he did them for his kids and will gladly do so again.

Ozil has since tweeted a message of support to his Arsenal team-mate. He named his Black Panther-themed effort against Rennes in the Europa League last year as ‘the best goal celebration’.

It is no surprise to see Ozil defend Aubameyang, especially when it involves a certain Toni Kroos.

The pair have clashed before and this goes back to when the Arsenal man announced his retirement from the German national side in 2018.

Ozil claimed he was discriminated against because of his Turkish roots and Kroos was quick to denounce those claims.

For now, we can only watch and see if Kroos sends Ozil yet another response this time.
