Real Madrid star Toni Kroos is a well known reserved player but made sure to reveal his thoughts on Arsenal star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos has launched a surprise attack on Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Real Madrid star boasts a ‘humble’ reputation and even once wore an Adidas boot for four years before deciding to move on.

To that effect, it’s not a surprise to learn that Kroos is not a fan of creative and rehearsed goal celebrations.

Former Borussia Dortmund forward Aubameyang has regularly sported superhero masks with Spiderman, Deadpool, Batman and Black Panther tributes after scoring.

Yet Kroos, who appears to prefer a classic fist-pump, said the celebrations were “nonsense,” “silly” and showed the Gabon star as “not being a good role model”.

“If there are rehearsed dances or choreographies, I find it very silly,” Kroos said on the Einfach mal Luppen podcast he hosts, as per Sport Bild.

“Even worse is if there are any objects hidden in their socks.”

“Aubameyang once celebrated and took out a mask. That’s where it ends with me. I don’t think that’s a good role model, either. What nonsense.

“What I always found sweet was Gerd Muller. He just jumped up, pulled up his pants. That was real joy, nothing big.”

Aubameyang and Kroos have never had any public confrontation of any sort so the comments from the Real Madrid man come as a shock.
