Lionel Messi continues to push for an exit from Barcelona but he will only do so in ‘good blessing’ from all parties involved.

More and more, the growing rumor of Messi leaving Barcelona continues to drag on.

On Tuesday, the Barca captain shocked many across the globe after putting in a transfer request to the club.

Since then, many theories on why and if Messi will part ways with the Catalan giants have emerged.

The 33-year-old is said to be in disapproval with the club’s handling at the top. Decisions such as selling Neymar and the appointment of Ernesto Valverde did not sit well with the Argentine.

Messi requested he should be allowed to leave the club for free and Barcelona disagreed with that. The six-time Ballon d’Or winner has a €700m release clause in his contract that Barca want to stick with.

The situation has gotten worse over the past few days but it appears the player wants a common ground.

Goal reports that Messi will request a meeting with the Barcelona board as he looks to come to an agreement with the club.

The 33-year-old wants the talks as soon as possible so the current situation doesn’t get even worse.

In Spain, fans all over are taking protests requesting for club president Josep Bartomeu to resign.

Barcelona claim the clause that allows Messi to leave for free expired on July 10. But the player’s camp believes that can be waved given the season was extended as a whole due to the global pandemic.

The report concludes that Messi wants to ends things on a good note with his beloved club and also give a proper explanation to the fans on why he decided to leave the club.
