The PSG head coach is hoping that his star forward can go on a scoring streak after hitting his long-awaited milestone on Sunday.

Kylian Mbappe scored his 98th and 99th goal for Paris Saint-Germain in the 3-2 loss to Monaco on November 20.

The forward had to wait a while before reaching a century of goals with the French champions as he drew blanks in the three subsequent matches, against RB Leipzig and Manchester United in the Champions League and the Ligue 1 meeting with Bordeaux in between them.

Finally, the 21-year-old was able to get to the 100-goal landmark by netting late in the 3-1 win against Montpellier on Sunday.

Mbappe is now only the fifth player in the history of PSG to reach triple figures alongside Dominique Rocheteau (100), Pauleta (109), Zlatan Ibrahimovic (156), and Edinson Cavani (200).

Thomas Tuchel admits to being slightly concerned with the player’s three-game scoreless streak and is hoping he can keep finding the net.

“His life is not too difficult, is it? He had a good game in Manchester. In other matches, he had scored and I was less satisfied with him,” Tuchel said of his star attacker after the Montpellier game, via Goal.

“If he continues to work I am very calm. Today I can only say ‘congratulations’. All forwards need goals and I hope we will continue on Tuesday.”
