In the second start of his career at FC Barcelona, this youngster left several Juventus tars in awe after a dominant performance in Turin.

In the wake of a fresh FC Barcelona dominant Champions League performance against Juventus, one player rises above the rest. Even though Lionel Messi played at his usual level of performance, there was a youngster who lived the most incredible evening of his career. Just as the final whistle was sounded, Paulo Dybala ran straight to Pedri to praise him after a tremendous performance.

Throughout the game, the 17-year-old became Juan Cuadrado’s nightmare on the left flank. Whether it’s with his right or left foot, he always makes the right decision when he has an option to pass. The way he protects the ball is very reminiscent of the most dominant holding midfielders in recent history with an offensive nature within his movements.

Juventus’ number ‘10’ wanted to exchange jerseys with Pedri, something that left the Canary Islands native astounded. Diario Sport reported that the young player also got praised by all his teammates for the dribbles against Cuadrado.

Messi was extremely happy with Pedri’s performance.

As the match kept progressing, Lionel Messi quickly realized the amazing talent that Pedri is for Barcelona. Right after the match, he was spotted hugging the youngster and celebrating his performance. Barça defenders also joked about injuring him if he dribbled past them as he did with Cuadrado.

It was a perfect night for the young player who was going back home inside a cab from a game just a few weeks earlier. But the cherry on top was another praise from a Juventus legend who was in awe of Pedri’s quality. On his official Twitter account, Claudio wrote the following statement: “What a player Pedri is. Immaculate during the game, never superficial. Congratulations.”

With him and Ansu Fati next to Messi, Barcelona can dream of going back to the top of the world by the end of the season.
