After FC Barcelona’s victory against Juventus, an Italian football legend made a bold claim about Lionel Messi after his performance.
Very few legends in football can make claims about Lionel Messi like this Italian great just made after last night’s match. FC Barcelona truly dominated Juventus throughout 90 minutes and could’ve easily scored several goals against them.
In the end, they only got a 0-2 win that didn’t reflect what really happened on the pitch. But Christian Vieri watched the game from Allianz Stadium and enjoyed another magical night from Leo Messi. ‘Bobo’ is considered one of Italy’s deadliest strikers in history, which is why impressing him is extremely difficult.
However, Vieri was truly amazed by what he saw from Messi last night. So much so that he even made one of those bold claims about the Argentine’s retirement. A moment we all dread, the day Messi decides to hang up his boots.
Vieri won’t want to watch football anymore.
Whether it’s Messi or Ronaldo, we all agree that the world will cry when either of both legends retires. Vieri described this feeling in a perfect way on CBS Sports: “It was an amazing Barcelona, there was no game tonight. They could’ve scored six or seven goals, easy. Played very well.
“I don’t know how they lost to Real Madrid, but if you watch them play against Juventus, you’ll say they can’t lose against anybody. The way they played!. Every match is different, but the Barcelona I saw and the rest of the world is simply incredible.
“Messi is a magician, he’s the Harry Potter of football. When he stops playing, I will throw away my TV’s and I won’t work on television anymore. I will watch Netflix instead, that should be enough.
“When he retires, there will be nothing more to see. When you have a number ‘10’ like that, it’s crazy. It’s a shame there were no fans in the stadium, they should always watch a club like this play.”
