The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has overcome a neck injury to make the Manchester United starting XI for Saturday’s clash with top-four rivals West Ham.

Cristiano Ronaldo has shaken off a neck injury to start against West Han in the Premier League on Saturday.

Despite fears about his neck, Ronaldo trained on Friday and joined his teammates at The Lowry Hotel in the evening. Therefore, Ralf Rangnick has selected his star man to lead the attack.

“He [Ronaldo] was training yesterday, the same with Edi [Edinson Cavani], it’s good to have them both back in the squad,” said the Manchester United interim manager.

Rangnick has named Anthony Elanga as a starter for the third consecutive league game, after the youngster’s goal against Brentford midweek. He has also recalled captain Harry Maguire to the line-up in Victor Lindelof’s absence.

Jadon Sancho (personal reasons), Victor Lindelof (personal reasons), Aaron Wan-Bissaka (illness), and Luke Shaw (hamstring) are unavailable.
