Victor Lindelof, currently on his fourth season with the Red Devils, believes that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has had an important role in his development as a player.

The 26 year-old central defender spoke on Portuguese television about how Solskjaer and Manchester United have helped improve his player skill set.

Lindelof told SportTV: “With Ole now, we play a good football and I learn and develop a lot from that”.

The ‘Iceman’ has been a regular for the Red Devils this season, although he was subbed off at half-time on Tuesday’s Champions League match due to injury concerns.

Manchester United have failed to impress with their Premier League campaign so far, currently occupying a modest 13th place on the table with eight matches played.

The Sweden international brushed off his critics, claiming that when you play at a club like Manchester United, you’re bound to attract some negative reviews.

“If you’re not performing at the highest level, there’s always going to be people criticizing you (…) that’s never been a problem for me”.

Victor Lindelof also underlined Jose Mourinho’s importance in his career: “It was Mourinho who brought me here and gave me the opportunity to play for the club and I have him as well to thank”.
