Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City started a new season with an important victory at Wolverhampton but Leicester City won’t be easy. The Foxes started this campaign in a similar vein to how they ended the previous one. It’s not a secret anymore, Leicester City is starting to become one of the Premier League’s most competitive sides.

Under Brendan Rodgers, they play direct and offensive football that gives more value to the collective above individual performances. Manchester City is a perfect test for them to see how competitive they will be this season. The first two matches they played were against relatively easy targets such as West Brom and Burnley.

Now they get to play against one of the strongest sides in Europe right now. It will be a perfect way to continue an emotion-packed weekend. Etihad Stadium’s doors will of course remain closed for the public due to the pandemic.
