Manchester City welcome Aston Villa to the Etihad Stadium as they chase their sixth consecutive Premier League win.

As it stands, Guardiola’s men are the most in-form side in the league.

They became the first side to register five consecutive Premier League wins this season as they beat Palace 4-0 last time out. It saw them continue an unbeaten run that stretches back 15 competitive matches.

If results go their way, City can go top of the Premier League with a win tonight and they’ll no doubt be fired up to do so.

Elsewhere, Villa have seen a tough run of fixtures of late. They managed a point against Chelsea but lost out to Manchester United last time out.

A fixture against Manchester City is another daunting task but they’ve proven they can deliver an upset so far this season.

Villa might be 12 points off leaders Leicester City but it’s important to note that they have at least three games in hand. A number of their games have recently been postponed due to a covid-19 outbreak in the team.

It remains to be seen what becomes of those games but a certainty is that City are favorites against Dean Smith’s men and look primed for all three points.
