The Sky Blues became the first team to win five consecutive league games this season after a dominating display at the Etihad on Sunday.

Manchester City extended their unbeaten streak in the Premier League to nine games after the emphatic 4-0 win against Crystal Palace.

John Stones netted a brace, scoring on either side of Ilkay Gundogan‘s sumptuous strike into the top corner.

The English center-back scored Man City’s first goal, as well as his first goal of the season, in the 26th minute heading in Kevin De Bruyne’s curling pass while he was also perfectly placed to smash the ball in after Ruben Dias’ header was initially saved.

With two minutes of normal time left to play, Raheem Sterling put the game to bed with an excellent free-kick.

It was a truly dominating performance from Pep Guardiola’s men, and they are now just two points off the top of the table with a game in hand.
