We bring you the player ratings of this exciting Premier League fixture between Manchester City and Chelsea.

Manchester City had a visit from Chelsea in this Premier League fixture and Pep Guardiola’s side wished to wrap up their title decision today. A win could reserve their name as the 2020-21 champions, but a tie or a defeat could mean that they have to wait for Manchester United to lose tomorrow. After last week’s crown denial, the Cityzens knew they had tough opponents, especially because of Chelsea’s latest performances.

A win here in this game for City would boost their hopes for the upcoming Champions League final against Thomas Tuchel’s men. However, the Blues showed great determination to make a surprising comeback from one goal down. In the 44th minute, Sterling scored the opener for the hosts with the help of Aguero who was unselfish enough to let his teammate score. But just before halftime, the Argentinian missed the opportunity of a lifetime which could have possibly made a difference.

Aguero fluffs a penalty, Alonso fires the winner.

In the dying minutes of the first half, Jesus won a spot-kick for the local lads as Gilmour pressured him to the ground. As expected, “Kun” stepped up for the 50-50 chance being the specialist in this type of situations. However, the Argentine made a fool out of himself as he tried to attempt a “panenka” straight down the middle. Edouard Mendy in Chelsea’s goal was completely aware of what was happening and coolly grabbed the ball in his safe hands.

After the players walked out of the tunnel for the second half, we could see that the visitors had a rejuvenated ambition. As a result of teamwork from the Londoners, Ziyech drilled a low shot past Ederson in the 64th minute assisted by Azpilicueta. But City were shocked by a surprise attack that started from Hudson-Odoi in the final minutes of the game. A cross from Werner was lifted over the goalkeeper by Marcos Alonso to give Chelsea the unexpected lead.
