Manchester United will be weighing up a move for N’Golo Kante if Chelsea encourage them to do so, reports in England suggest.

N’Golo Kante could find himself on the fringes of Frank Lampard’s squad after Chelsea’s relentless spending campaign this summer.

The Stamford Bridge side have been more active in the market than any other club in Europe’s top-five leagues.

Having already snapped up the likes of Thiago Silva, Ben Chilwell, Malang Sarr, Timo Werner, and Hakim Ziyech, Lampard is now focusing on the outgoings.

Kante could find himself on the list of players to be shown the door after seeing his influence on Chelsea’s game dwindle over the past 12 months.

With the London outfit still pursuing a deal for West Ham United’s Declan Rice, the French midfielder could move on to make way for the English rising star.

As per the Daily Mail, Manchester United will be ready to pounce for Kante if they receive encouragement from Chelsea.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admires the World Cup winner and would be eager to land him despite only recently announcing the signing of Donny van de Beek from Ajax.

The Norwegian is keen to revamp his midfield area, which also includes the selling of Jesse Lingard and Andreas Pereira.

With the out-of-sorts duo seemingly heading towards the Old Trafford exit, space will be liberated for a new holding midfielder to come in.

Kante, who won two Premier League titles, with Leicester City and Chelsea, would be a notable upgrade to Solskjaer’s current options in the center of the park.
