N’Golo Kante could be a subject of a blockbuster transfer this summer, according to the bookmakers.

After helping Leicester City wrap up a historic Premier League title in 2015/16, Kante hit a similar stride during his first year at Chelsea.

Since joining the Blues for £32million in 2016, the 29-year-old defensive midfielder has won four titles, including the Premier League in 2016/17.

Although he has been quick to cement his place as an indispensable starter at Stamford Bridge, Kante endured an injury-riddled season last term, seeing his influence dwindle under Frank Lampard.

With the emergence of Mason Mount, Lampard has decided he doesn’t need the Frenchman’s services any longer and is willing to listen to offers for the World Cup winner.

Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, Barcelona, and Real Madrid have all shown interest in Kante so far, but Oddschecker price Manchester United as 1/2 favorites to land the combative midfielder, as per the Daily Mirror.

One of the reasons behind the bookies’ optic to put United as front-runners for Kante’s signature is that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is on the lookout for a high-profile midfield addition.

The signing of attacking midfielder Bruno Fernandes in January has turned Manchester United fortunes around, but Solskjaer remains keen on snapping up a defensive midfielder.

Nemanja Matic and Fred both had a patchy form in 2019/20, making the Norwegian manager believe he needs to reinforce the area in front of his backline.

The Red Devils have recently reignited their interest in Saul Niguez, but Diego Simeone has no intention of letting the Spaniard leave Atletico Madrid anytime soon.
