Erik Ten Hag’s men claimed a much-needed victory on home soil.

Manchester United defeated Brentford 1-0 in their Premier League game on Wednesday. Marcus Rashford scored again for the Red Devils, helping them maintain their top-four place.

A narrow win!

Man Utd took control of the possession soon after the game started as Brentford retreated into their own half.

The Red Devils struggled to make serious chances for the first 20 minutes. But then Rashford broke the deadlock with a shot from close range.

Marcel Sabitzer headed the ball toward the in-form striker, who smashed it into the roof of the net to make it 1-0 at Old Trafford.

Antony and Scott McTominay forced David Raya to make two big saves before the break. But the pace of the game dropped significantly when the second half started.

As the game went on, United increased the pressure on Brentford’s backline. The Bees spent most of the second half repelling United’s attacks as they were not able to change the course of the game.

The Red Devils came close to doubling their lead through Antony and Jadon Sancho. However, they had to settle for a 1-0 win to get back to winning ways after four games in the Premier League.
