Diogo Dalot is considering a move away from Man United as he has fallen way down the pecking order recently.

Diogo Dalot returned to Manchester United in June after spending a loan deal at Milan. The player hoped to challenge Aaron Wan-Bissaka for a spot in the Red Devils squad.

However, he has found himself down the pecking order recently, getting little to no game time. Wan-Bissaka remains Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first choice for the right-back position, with Dalot considering a move away from the club.

According to Calciomercato, Dalot is keen to return to Serie A. The player wants a move to Roma as working under Jose Mourinho seems appealing to him.

After a successful loan spell at Milan, the Rossoneri tried to keep the 22-year-old. However, Solskjaer rejected their offer as he wanted to have a high-quality backup for Wan-Bissaka. Solskjaer’s potential Man United exit will affect Dalot’s future at the club.

The Premier League giants are also eyeing a move for Atletico Madrid’s Kieran Trippier in the winter transfer window. They failed to reach an agreement with the Spanish side in the summer.

However, Trippier is spending the last months of his contract, and the Rojiblancos might decide to cash in on him this winter. United’s move for Trippier will increase the likelihood of Dalot’s exit, potentially making him the third option for the position.
