Old Trafford was the place where Man United played the last game of 2020 against Wolves. We have the player ratings of this match.

Man United had a truly complicated match to play today against Wolves at Old Trafford. As the last game of 2020 for both sides, we were all for a spectacular evening but instead we got a rough confrontation. Nuno Espirito Santo was quite aware of the challenge that his players had in front of them in one of the biggest clubs around. The current Premier League season is one of the most competitive in decades and both clubs are part of the wave.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer knew his players had a chance to move within two points from Liverpool at the top of the table. It was obvious they needed to play at their best in order to get those three points from a formidable foe. The majority of the game was a stalemate from two squads that took more care of not making a mistake than scoring goals. Most of the action came during the final 20 minutes.

Rashford and Bruno FTW.

After a relatively boring first half, Manchester United got more involved in the game during the second half after Martial’s inclusion in the game. But the man who decided the outcome was none other than Mr. MBE himself with a last-minute screamer. Rashford got a superb pass from deep by Bruno Fernandes and completed a brilliant solo effort to score the winner.

A victory that tastes great for a club that struggled quite a bit throughout 2020. This is the way in which the Red Devils finish a year filled with contrast. Second place in the Premier League never felt better for them at this stage of the season.
