They took complete control of the game, putting Palace’s defence under unbearable pressure from both flanks.

Following a few missed chances, Bernardo Silva brought City back into the game in the 53rd minute. Only ten minutes later, Erling Haaland converted Phil Foden’s assist to equalize the game for the Citizens.

The Norwegian star put his side ahead when he nodded the ball from close range in the 70th minute. City continued attacking as Palace’s defence looked completely shattered after their third goal.

Following a through-ball from Ilkay Gundogan, Haaland went on to complete his hat-trick with a low shot in the 81st minute as he put the icing on the cake for City’s wonderful comeback.
