The Red Devils will equal a 34-year-long club record in the English top-flight should they collect all three points from the West Ham game.
Manchester United have endured torrid times at home this season as they’ve managed just a single win in five Premier League matches at Old Trafford so far.
United though have performed very well on their travels as they remain unbeaten in each of the four games away from home.
A resolute Red Devils side successfully downed Brighton, Newcastle United, Everton, and Southampton despite initially falling behind against each of the four teams.
The now aim for a fifth consecutive away win in the league as they prepare for the trip to West Ham United on Saturday.
If Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men do win, they will match the efforts of Ron Atkinson’s side from 1985/86 of winning each of the first five away games of their campaign.
However, captain Harry Maguire insists records hold no special weight for him and that a win, regardless of where it is being played, should be his team’s only focus.
Maguire told the club’s official website: “Every game we play, we have a great incentive to go and win. I don’t really look into the stats and figures.
“I don’t want to jinx anything, I just want to get the three points and that’ll be the focus come Saturday.
“Like I said, the home form hasn’t been great and we need to improve on that but now it’s another game where we try and get three points and that’s what we’ll look at it as.”
