The Belgian marksman got off to a flying start on his return to the Premier League, marking his second Blues debut with a goal.

Romelu Lukaku insists his goal in Chelsea’s clash with Arsenal is the best one he has scored in the Premier League so far.

Lukaku sat out Chelsea’s 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace last week following his big-money move from Inter Milan but was named in the starting XI in Sunday’s London derby.

The striker, who hit 20 goals across 44 games in 2020-21, picked up right where he left off last season by opening the scoring at the Emirates.

He was a standout performer in the game, helping Thomas Tuchel’s men to keep the attacking flowing and causing the opposition defense all sorts of problems, and was declared the Man of the Match.

The former Manchester United and Everton brought up his goal tally in the English top-flight to 113, and he holds his latest strike closest to his heart.

“Yes, that one was the best [Premier League goal] for me,” Lukaku told beIN SPORTS after the 2-0 win.

“You guys know how emotional it was today. This one is the best of the lot. Obviously, it was only a tap-in but the build up was nice so for me this one was the best.

“It took five minutes or so to understand the movements of my teammates but I asked a lot of questions. To be honest, this group is very, very talented and hungry.

“It was easy for me to fit in because I played this way with the Belgian national team. The coach prepared us well and we came in with confidence and got a good result.”
