The Reds now have all their first-choice defenders on the treatment table after Andy Robertson picked up a hamstring injury on Thursday.
Andy Robertson was left out of Sunday’s Nations League B group stage matchday 5 meeting against Slovakia.
The Scotland skipper complained about a hamstring issue after playing 120 minutes in the Euro 2020 play-off victory against Serbia on Thursday.
Ahead of the Slovakia game, Scotland coach Steve Clarke informed that the left-back was struggling with the newly picked up fitness issue.
“Andy Robertson is the most doubtful out of the ones who have a wee question mark over them,” Clarke said, via Daily Mail.
Robertson’s injury will only increase the headache for Jurgen Klopp, who is now without all four of his first-choice players in the Liverpool backline.
Virgil van Dijk suffered a serious knee injury earlier during the Merseyside derby and is expected to remain sidelined for almost the rest of the season. Joe Gomez, who damaged his knee while on international duty, will also spend a significant amount of time on the sidelines.
Trent Alexander-Arnold is also out injured with a muscle problem while Fabinho also has fitness issues of his own.
Liverpool host league leaders Leicester City after the international break, with the Premier League fixture schedule for the next weekend.
