Clubs across Europe are mulling over a move for a talented 21-year-old but it appears they all are set for disappointment.

Fiorentina are working on a contract extension for their in-demand striker Dusan Vlahovic, the club’s director has confirmed.

Vlahovic bagged 21 goals in 37 league appearances for Fiorentina last season and was voted the Seria A Best Young Player for his exploits.

Interest in the Serbia international has been high ever since. Tottenham have set sights on him as they prepare for life after Harry Kane while Liverpool are also targeting him as an alternative to Roberto Firmino.

Atletico Madrid and AC Milan are also understood to be keen on the former Partizan Belgrade man, who is valued at around €60 million by La Viola.

Vlahovic’s current contract keeps him at Stadio Artemio Franchi until 2023, but talks are on to prolong his stay at the club.

“We’re monitoring the team as it is and after the pre-season training we’ll see what we need to bring in,” Fiorentina director Joe Barone told reporters, reports Goal.

“Vlahovic is a Fiorentina player, he has two years on his contract and we are working constantly with his agent over an extension.”
