Thiago Alcantara refuses to give too much away regarding his future but indicates he has made a u-turn on his decision to quit Bayern Munich.

Thiago Alcantara’s future has been a much debatable subject for the past few weeks as he continues to be linked with a move away from Bayern Munich.

The 29-year old midfielder is ready to sever ties with Bayern after seven lustrous years at the club with the intention of seeking new challenges, according to reports.

It is said that he has already made the Bundesliga champions aware of his decision and hence is not extending his contract beyond 2021.

Confirming those rumors, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge recently informed that the club are open to negotiating his sale but are yet to receive any formal offers.

Liverpool and Manchester United are the clubs most strongly linked with the Spaniard’s signing, with the former considered the front-runners. The Reds, however, are unwilling to match his €30 million price tag.

Amid the uncertainty surrounding his future, Thiago, as Goal reports, says he would be content to stay put at Allianz Arena if a move to the Premier League fails to materialize.

“I only think about the game against Ukraine. Afterwards, we will see,” he said after playing the full 90 minutes in Spain’s 1-1 draw against Germany on Thursday.

“Bayern is my home and I am happy to be there.”
