Transfer interest in Dusan Vlahovic was likely fueled over the weekend after the Fiorentina striker scored seven goals in a friendly.

Dusan Vlahovic gave Premier League clubs a taste of what he has on offer by setting the scoring charts alight on Sunday.

The 21-year-old scored seven goals in just 45 minutes of action in a friendly between Fiorentina and fourth-tier Italian side Polisportiva C4 Foligno to bolster his already glowering profile.

Despite Foligno already 3-0 down by the time he came on, Vlahovic showed no mercy. He smashed seven goals past the amateur club as Fiorentina grabbed an 11-0 win.

The Serbian’s prolific display didn’t go unnoticed amid reports linking him with moves to Premier League sides Liverpool and Tottenham.

But Vlahovic, who scored 21 goals in 37 appearances in Serie A last season, has suggested he would be happy to continue at Fiorentina.

“I’m happy in Florence and work is the only way to success,” said Vlahovic as per Calcio In Pillole.

“Since the calendars came out we have been thinking about the [opening Serie A] match against Roma. We will start immediately by giving 200 percent, we will do our best.

“I try to make myself available and to always learn. I hope to do well again this year.”

Giacomo Bonaventura, Alfred Duncan, and Jose Maria Callejon scored a goal each for Fiorentina, with Foligno’s Ardenis adding an own goal to complete a stunning victory.

Reports in Italy, meanwhile, suggest that Vlahovic is in talks with Fiorentina for a new contract. The striker’s current deal runs until June 2023.
