During the presentation of Liverpool’s Player of the Month Award, one of the Reds’ aces this season thanked the fans for their support.

It’s safe to say that this Liverpool ace hit the ground running after winning October’s Player of the Month Award within the club. If you didn’t know, forward Diogo Jota beat Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane to win the prize. Even though he was already proving he could become a great player during his time at Wolves, nobody imagined he would reach this level.

Jota has been one of the most consistent Premier League players this season and a beacon for his national team. But there’s no doubt that Jota has done far more as a Liverpool player during his initial months at the club than any of his teammates. As a result of this, the fans selected him as the Standard Chartered Player of the Month of October.

A well-deserved prize that confirms his impressive start to a new life as a Red. Jurgen Klopp has another incredible striker to give him the goals that will help Liverpool “attack” the Premier League title.

Jota wanted to express his happiness with the fans.

In an interview with Liverpool’s official website, Diogo Jota revealed his sensations after getting this award: “I’m very proud. It’s always a nice thing. I just want to thank the people who voted for me. I just wish I can keep working hard and keep getting results for the team, that’s what matters the most.”

“Each goal is important to help the team. They were decisive goals. If I had to choose one, maybe the headed one because I don’t often score a lot of headers, so that’s a special moment. I also said that when I scored my first goal: I just wish the stadium could be full for an even more special moment. But I can feel their support on social media, even on the streets.

“I can feel the fans’ support. Of course, having them in the stadium is a different thing, I just wish that can happen again very soon. But I feel their support and I appreciate that, I’m thankful for that. And I just hope, like I said, we can keep winning games.”
