The Portuguese star is on the verge of leaving Lille ahead of the next season.

Lille will sell Renato Sanches to AC Milan or Paris Saint-Germain this summer, according to the Ligue 1 side’s president.

Sanches has attracted interest from several clubs due to his impressive performances for Lille last season.

Oliver Letang confirms Sanches will leave the club this summer, but he is not sure about the Portuguese star’s next destination.

“Renato has two very good possibilities, two very big clubs,” he told reporters. “If he is still with us, it is because we have not reached an agreement with the clubs concerned.

“Renato is going to leave, to which club I don’t know. I will keep the nature of these discussions confidential. It will be Paris or Milan.”

The Serie A champions have reportedly prepared a €15m bid for the former Bayern Munich midfielder. However, they are facing competition from PSG, who have recently appointed former Lille coach Christophe Galtier as their new manager.

Galtier has added Hugo Ekitike and Vitinha as his first signings at PSG. However, he is looking to further bolster his side’s midfield line by adding Sanches to the mix.

Last season, the Portugal international scored once and provided five assists in his 24 appearances for Lille. Let’s see if PSG can keep him in Ligue 1 or would he move to Serie A to continue his career.
