With a number of icons having spent the final years of their careers there, America has become an attractive destination for players.

Robert Lewandowski has refused to rule out a move to the MLS but says it is not something he is thinking about at the moment.

32-year-old Lewandowski isn’t at all showing any signs of slowing down, having scored an incredible 32 goals in just 31 games for Bayern Munich this season.

The latest of his strikes came in the Champions League as the striker opened the scoring in Bayern’s 4-1 thrashing of Lazio in the last-16 first leg.

It was his 72nd goal in the Champions League, and the prolific Pole became the third-highest scorer in the competition only behind titans Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

The 2020 Best FIFA Men’s Player is tied to Bayern until 2023, and he suggests he intends to honor the full length of his contract.

Lewandowski told  CBS Sports: “Playing in the USA? I don’t know because I don’t know what it means for me and when. For sure I know a lot about MLS because a few Polish players and also German players played there and they talk to me about the life there, but also about MLS.

“They say that every year there is a step up [in the league’s quality] and they want to be better. I don’t know what it means exactly for me personally, but I’m very happy to be here [at Bayern].

“I don’t think about so far in the future.”
