The Argentine attacker has been heavily linked with Barcelona over the past year, but he appears settled at Inter.
Lautaro Martinez has confirmed contract talks with Inter Milan and insists he is happy in his current surroundings.
The 23-year-old has become a top striker in Serie A since joining Inter in 2018 from Argentinian club Racing Club. An impressive 41 goals and 15 assists have come his way at San Siro in only 112 appearances.
And while his contract still has another two years left, Inter have already begun talks over an extension amid interest from Barcelona and clubs across Europe.
“We are working on the renewal, I am happy at Inter, I work every day for the team,” said Lautaro as quoted on Goal.
“Everyone behaves very well with me and I feel the confidence of the club and the coach.”
Lautaro was on target in the 4-0 win over Benevento on Saturday to help the Nerazzurri stay within two points of league leaders AC Milan in second place. His goal made him the club’s youngest player to reach 30 Serie A goals.
