According to a report from Cadena SER, Joan Laporta already has a manager in mind who can replace Ronald Koeman if he doesn’t continue.
When Joan Laporta became FC Barcelona’s president, there was already a latent danger of Ronald Koeman leaving the club. Although he hasn’t been terrible as the club’s manager, he simply doesn’t speak for the club’s philosophy. Granted, he’s been offering opportunities to the younger generations at the club. But we don’t know if he would’ve done the same if the club wasn’t in a difficult financial situation.
We can easily think Koeman was between a sword and a hard place when it comes to using his youngsters. This is the reason Joan Laporta might already be thinking about his next manager once the current season is over. According to Cadena SER, the new president already has a name in mind who can move the club forward with his offensive style. Perhaps he isn’t exactly FC Barcelona’s philosophy but he still loved to teach offensive football and ball possession to his current players.
Laporta already hinted on this manager before.
If you didn’t know already, Joan Laporta already hinted that perhaps Germany was the ideal place to look for Barcelona’s new manager. But he had a very specific name in mind that we figured out for ourselves. Julian Nagelsmann puts together all the attributes that a proper offensive manager can have at FC Barcelona. El Larguero’s Manu Carreño revealed that Laporta is already trying to contact him for a possible arrival next season.
Even though he still says that he feels comfortable at RB Leipzig, one can’t help but think his tenure is over at the German club. Even though there are other names in mind, this is the man that the new president will try to sign by the end of the season. It appears Koeman’s days at FC Barcelona are numbered.
