Kylian Mbappe’s representatives have released a statement in response to reports that a deal has been struck with Real Madrid.
Kylian Mbappe’s entourage has denied reports of an agreement with Real Madrid.
Mbappe has chosen not to extend his contract with Paris Saint-Germain. This means he can talk to other clubs about a potential free transfer in the summer, once his contract is over.
On Sunday, French outlet Foot Mercato claimed Mbappe and Real Madrid had agreed on terms for a deal. But the striker’s representatives insist there is no agreement, nor have any talks taken place.
In the statement shared by RMC Sport, Mbappe’s entourage said: “There is no agreement around Kylian’s future, especially since there are no discussions started about it.
“No type of influence could dictate the timing of Kylian’s discussion, reflection, or decision.”
Last week, Mbappe told reporters that he had not decided where he would play his football in 2024/25. He said his focus lies on helping PSG win more trophies for this season.
The 25-year-old scored a hat-trick in Sunday’s 9-0 victory over sixth-tier team Revel in the French Cup. His tally for the 2023/24 campaign is now 25 goals and three assists in 24 games across all competitions.
