With his contract at Paris Saint-Germain running down, Kylian Mbappe has revealed he remains unsure over his future.

Kylian Mbappé is not sure if he should sign a new contract with Paris Saint-Germain or leave without any cost. Even though his current deal runs out this summer, he has not made up his mind yet, but promises PSG will be protected.

Mbappe gave an update on his future after scoring the second goal in Wednesday’s 2-0 win over Toulouse. The victory secured PSG the Trophee des Champions title, their first trophy of 2024.

“I haven’t made my decision yet. I haven’t made a choice,” the 25-year-old striker said after the match.

“With the agreement I had with the president in the summer, my decision is not important. We managed to protect all the parties and preserved the serenity of the club for the challenges to come, which is the most important. So we will say that it [the decision] is secondary.”

Allegedly, Mbappe agreed last summer to give up a loyalty bonus worth €100 million in his PSG contract if he were to leave the club for free

The France captain previously came close to joining Real Madrid in 2022 as a free agent. However, he decided to stay put at PSG instead, signing a lucrative two-year contract with the club.

When asked if he faces another late call to make on his future, Mbappe replied: “I don’t know. It was at the end of May 2022 because I didn’t know until May.

“If I know what I want to do, why wait? It would make no sense but like I have said, the most important are the titles. We have won one already and we are determined to win more. My situation, inside the club, nobody talks about it, it doesn’t interest much.”
