Jules Kounde insists that the offers to play at some of the world’s biggest football clubs are great but he is in no rush to move on.
Jules Kounde has been in La Liga for one season. He made the switch from Bordeaux last summer and has not looked back since.
His commanding presence at the back for Sevilla has caught the attention of several big sides. But the 21-year-old has alerted none other than Real Madrid and Barcelona to his mastery of the Spanish top flight.
However, as he and his side prepare to face Manchester United in the semi-finals of the Europa League, he insists that while the interest is flattering he is happy where he is right now and in no rush to make another transfer.
Speaking to Marca he said:
“It is always good that you interest teams.”
“We are very focused on winning this cup. I don’t look at other teams.”
“I’m good at Sevilla. Next year we are going to play in the Champions League and we all deserve it. I am very focused and very happy here.”
“It is something that I control, but sometimes there are parameters that do not depend on me. I do not look away from Sevilla.”
