The FC Barcelona manager spoke for the first time following Monday’s police raid, which resulted in the arrest of some club officials.

Ronald Koeman has admitted the arrest of former club president Josep Maria Bartomeu isn’t good for Barcelona and revealed even he isn’t fully aware of what happened.

A police raid at the club’s offices on Monday resulted in the arrest of Bartomeu, CEO Oscar Grau, head of legal services Roman Gomez Ponti, and former director Jaume Masferrer regarding the infamous ‘Barcagate’ scandal of last year.

After spending the night in custody, Bartomeu and Masferrer testified in front of a judge on Tuesday morning alongside their lawyers. They were released provisionally around midday, with the investigation to continue for now.

“It’s not a good look for the club,” said Koeman in a press conference on Tuesday afternoon.

“We have to wait and see what happens. I wasn’t here [at the time], I don’t know what happened. We can’t do anything, we have to focus on football.”

Koeman was speaking to reporters ahead of Barcelona’s second leg against Sevilla in the Copa del Rey semi-finals on Wednesday.

The Blaugrana, who trail Julen Lopetegui’s men 2-0 on aggregate, could welcome back Pedri from injury in time for the match at Camp Nou.
