Ahead of the La Liga match between Rayo Vallecano and Barcelona, Ronald Koeman has offered the latest injury news on four players.

Ronald Koeman has given the latest on Ansu Fati, Pedri, Ousmane Dembele, and Ronald Araujo.

Barcelona return to action on Wednesday for a trip to Rayo Vallecano in La Liga. Fresh from a Clasico defeat to Real Madrid, the Catalan giants need all three points to kick-start their season. They currently lie down in ninth-place in the standings.

So, ahead of the clash in Vallecas, Koeman spoke to reporters in a pre-match conference and gave the following injury updates.

Fati is a doubt

The 18-year-old suffered a minor problem against Real Madrid and is a doubt to face Rayo Vallecano.

“He has discomfort,” said Barcelona manager Koeman. “He is still a doubt. We have called him up and will decide tomorrow morning if he can travel with us.”

What about Dembele & Pedri?

Pedri has been struggling with a thigh injury since September. The 18-year-old returned in the 3-0 Champions League defeat to Benfica but suffered a relapse. He had another setback at the weekend, and Koeman admits he could be out for a while longer.

“We are all worried about the injuries,” the Dutchman said of Pedri. “We are trying to analyze the situation so that the player can improve. It could be that Pedri stays out for a little more time.”

Dembele has resumed training from a hamstring injury, although he appears doubtful for Wednesday alongside Pedri and Araujo.

Koeman added: “You have to be worried in this regard. Because of this, we don’t put a date on Dembele, Pedri or Araujo. We speak each day about it. We know exactly where they are.”
