During a recent interview on De Telegraaf, Ronald Koeman heaped praise on both Leo Messi and Pep Guardiola for their success.

There have been rumors of Pep Guardiola possibly reuniting with Leo Messi if Ronald Koeman is kicked out of Barcelona. The Dutch manager has done a good job at the Catalan club considering how complicated the situation was at the start of the season. However, he did get painfully eliminated by PSG in the UEFA Champions League. Pep Guardiola is currently en route to eliminating the French giants in order to get a place in the final.

It was obvious that the Manchester City boss would be linked to a return to Barcelona due to his good relationship with Joan Laporta. But Pep isn’t the only one in the race to possibly get Koeman’s job as Xavi Hernandez is also part of these conversations. In the end, the Dutchman will have the last word because he’ll keep his job if he wins La Liga. A major component of this possible success has to go through Leo Messi’s boots.

Koeman thinks Messi recovered his level.

During a recent interview on De Telegraaf, Ronald Koeman revealed Messi is back to his level of performance. In the interview, he was also asked about Pep Guardiola and his success everywhere he goes. This is what Mundo Deportivo picked up from the interview: “Messi is once again in his best moment. I am happy for Pep Guardiola. All of Pep’s teams play great football.

“He’s doing it again with City. Although when he was at Barça he had a side that was even more complete and could have had incredible success in football. I saw games in that period and thought they could not get any better. At that moment, Barça were perfect for me. We often play attractive football with a lot of young players. So we’re on track, as I said, but we’re still not there.”
