Jurgen Klopp insists there isn’t a secret behind Liverpool’s outstanding home record in the Premier League.

Liverpool play host to Arsenal on Monday night, aiming to extend their record of 37 wins in 40 Premier League matches. It’s won them a total of 114 points out of an available 120 (W37 D3 L0). They’re also been unbeaten at home since April 2017 on 60 league games; the third-longest streak in English top-flight history.

These feats will leave the Reds in good stead for their double-header against Arsenal in the Premier League and Carabao Cup this week, starting with the former on Monday night.

Although Klopp has played down these impressive statistics by insisting he is ‘absolutely not interested’.

“The only time I think about that number is when someone asks me about it and once I’ve answered the question, I forget it immediately because I am absolutely not interested,” said the Liverpool boss as quoted on Goal.

“We did what we did. We try to win football games and we’ve done that at home in different circumstances, at night time, lunchtime, with supporters, without supporters.

“It is our home and we feel really well there but it is no secret recipe what we have – we never expect to lose but we don’t expect to win.

“It is just we know we have to work and we want to deserve three points, that’s what we want. That is it, pretty much.”
