Khabib Nurmagomedov and Cristiano Ronaldo have been good friends ever since they met. The UFC lightweight number one recently revealed a secret conversation he had with the Portuguese superstar. In fact, the duo discussed Ronaldo’s biggest fear along with other aspects of their lives.
Khabib has been officially retired from the UFC after the death of his beloved father, who was his mentor. And the Russian martial artist has met the five-time Ballon d’Or winner on several occasions. Cristiano and Khabib share a strong bond of friendship and carry out conversations on a regular basis as per the Russian.
What is Ronaldo’s biggest fear?
While talking on a YouTube show, Khabib revealed that Ronaldo desires that his son takes his legacy forward. However, he also mentioned that the 36-year-old thinks that Ronaldo Jr. might not possess the same drive as that of his father. Khabib told YouTuber KraSava: “We talk many times, almost every day, but when we met we had a conversation about where we got our motivation from.”
“He told me that he wants his son to be his successor. When Cristiano was a kid, he could only dream of having a simple pair of boots. But his son has everything. He fears that his son will not feel the same hunger, the same will. People are guided by that will. Feel the desire to achieve things. When you have everything, it’s hard to find the right motivation. When he told me that, I’m not going to say I was surprised, but I enjoyed listening to him. I realised that he’s a person who is not content with one, two or three titles.”
