Juventus are assessing the possibility of offering out-of-favor Federico Bernardeschi to Tottenham as part of a deal to bring in Tanguy Ndombele.

Juventus have joined fellow Serie A rivals Inter Milan in the race for Ndombele, as Andrea Pirlo looks to revamp his midfield options this summer.

After selling Blaise Matuidi to the MLS franchise Inter Miami, the Italian has deemed Sami Khedira surplus to requirements.

With the two experienced midfielders now out of the picture, perennial Serie A champions will be looking to land fresh faces.

One of them could be Tanguy Ndombele. The Frenchman has struggled to settle at Tottenham since his club-record arrival from Lyon last summer.

As reported by Calciomercato, Juventus are ready to use their own flop, Federico Bernardeschi, as part of a package to lure Spurs into accepting the bid.

The Bianconeri initially thought about including Aaron Ramsey instead of Bernardeschi. But, the Welshman’s previous arrangement with Arsenal has seen Juve discard that possibility.

Regarded as one of Italy’s brightest talents during his time at Fiorentina, the 26-year-old joined the Turin side in a deal worth €40million in 2017.

But, the left-footed forward has failed to shine at the Allianz Stadium. Indeed, he finished the 2019/20 season with a disappointing output of one goal and one assist recorded in 29 Serie A appearances.

Before linking up with Juventus, Bernardeschi had emerged as Jose Mourinho’s transfer target for Manchester United.

Although the ‘Special One’ failed to wrap up a deal with Fiorentina then, he might get his hands on the Italian winger now.
