The Bianconeri recorded an emphatic win in their previous league outing and will now hope to replicate that form on Tuesday.

Arthur Melo will be unavailable for Juventus when they take on Fiorentina for their 14th Serie A match.

The Brazilian midfielder could only last for 30 minutes during the 1-1 draw against Atalanta as he was forced out after injuring his right thigh following a challenge by Cristian Romero.

He played no part in Juve’s 4-0 win against Parma on the weekend and, as Andrea Pirlo confirmed in his pre-match press conference, he will also miss Tuesday’s game against Fiorentina.

The Bianconeri have also received a boost as Paulo Dybala is in contention to return to action.

A muscle problem kept Dybala out of the previous Serie A fixture but he has recovered in time for the club’s final game before the Christmas and New Year holidays.

“[Dybala] trained a little bit with the group and a little bit apart today,” Pirlo told Juventus TV, via Football Italia. “he should be able to join us for the game.”

“[Merih] Demiral is feeling better while Arthur will miss the game, he still feels pain after the knock he picked up against Atalanta.”
