Allianz Stadium was the place where Juventus got a visit from SS Lazio in tonight’s Serie A crunch match. We got tonight’s player ratings.

As we previously reported, Cristiano Ronaldo started tonight’s match between Juventus and Lazio from the bench. The Portuguese star has been playing non-stop for several weeks, he hasn’t been a replacement since November 2020. Even though tonight was very important for the Bianconeri, Cristiano needed to trust his teammates. Andrea Pirlo decided to use an offensive approach with four forwards.

Bernardeschi, Kulusevski, Chiesa, and Morata were on the attack. All of them performed at a high level for Juventus and gave Ronaldo his much-needed breather. Despite Lazio’s outstanding opener from Correa, Juventus managed to bounce back through sheer dominance. Adrien Rabiot responded with the equalizer after an assist from Alvaro Morata. The Spanish striker was on point tonight with two goals and an assist overall.

Morata gives Ronaldo his rest.

Andrea Pirlo was seriously considering using Cristiano Ronaldo from the start of the second half but he trusted the players he had on the pitch. Alvaro Morata didn’t disappoint with Juventus’ second goal after a combination with Chiesa in a counter-attack. After that, he also scored his brace once the ref determined a penalty in his side’s favor. Ronaldo seemed happy from the bench but he still wanted a few minutes on the pitch in order to maintain his rhythm.

Even though he didn’t make a huge difference after taking Morata’s place, Cristiano was part of another important victory for the Bianconeri. With these three points in Serie A, Juve reached 52 points and solidified their third position on the table. They started off the week well with this victory right before facing Porto in the Champions League.
