The Dutchman’s entourage has named a trifecta of clubs that could be interested in securing the services of his client.
Matthijs de Ligt’s agent Mino Raiola names FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Paris Saint-Germain as potential suitors for him while also suggesting that the Premier League could be a possible destination for the Juventus defender.
De Ligt rose to prominence primarily due to his heroics of leading his former team Ajax to the semi-finals of the 2018/19 Champions League.
A bidding war unfolded for the right-footed center-back, with Juventus winning the war eventually.
The talented 22-year-old hasn’t quite lived up to his expectations, but that’s not to say he isn’t still one of the most highly regarded players not only in his position but also in general.
De Ligt’s agent recently raised uncertainty over his future in Turin by claiming that he’s “ready for a new step” in his career.
Now, in another interview with NOS, the super-agent has further stirred the pot of speculations.
“I think we all know which clubs to mention for his future. We will see this summer,” Raiola revealed.
“The Premier League? Perhaps, even Barcelona, Real Madrid, and PSG.
“Barcelona will always remain one of the biggest club in the world despite their current form. You will know that within 1 or 2 years they will be back again.”
