Allianz Stadium in Turin is the place where Juventus returned to Serie A activity against Cagliari. We have the player ratings for this match.

Juventus’ Stadium hosted Cagliari for a fresh Serie A match after coming back from the last international break of 2020. The Bianconeri wanted to keep tabs on the other clubs at the top of the table in their attempt to return to the lead. In order to do this, they needed the best Cristiano Ronaldo back to his goal-scoring habits.

The Portuguese forward didn’t disappoint with a first-half brace that made us all feel Juventus could win by a large margin tonight. His opener was a thing of beauty. A long-distance effort after cutting to the heart of the box that reminded us of vintage Ronaldo. Not long after that, Cristiano connected with Demiral during a corner kick for his second goal of the evening. As the ref sent everybody to rest, Juventus was showing some positive feels that wouldn’t return for the second half.

Cagliari improved its defense after the break.

After a lively half-time talk from the manager, the Cagliari players seemed more organized defensively. Cristiano Ronaldo attempted to score his hat-trick but he was unlucky in front of goal despite his many attempts to get it. In good news, we saw Paulo Dybala get some activity as he returned from a troubled time-fighting Covid-19.

This version of Andrea Pirlo’s approach is right in line with what the former player wants from the squad. Solidity in the back thanks to Matthijs de Ligt’s return from his injury and midfield control with the ball at their feet. Despite struggling to get more goals during the second half, the Bianconeri were always dangerous against Cagliari. Another three points leaving Juventus near the top of the table with 16 units.
