Juventus Stadium was the place for the Bianconeri’s next match against Fiorentina in a new Serie A fixture. We have the player ratings.
Juventus had a great chance to keep themselves near the top of the table as they faced Fiorentina at Allianz Stadium in Turin. The problem is that they didn’t expect such a solid Firenze side and they were taken by surprise. Initially, the visitors proved they can be a real problem for any side in Serie A due to Franck Ribery’s presence. The French winger may be a veteran but he is still one of the best players of the last 20 years.
While he remains active, he can create problems as he did today for Juventus. Franck set Vlahovic up with an early assist that completely took Juventus out of balance. To add insult to injury, Juan Cuadrado got himself sent-off early in the first half due to a reckless tackle. This was the decisive factor that gave Fiorentina the edge for the remainder of the game.
Ribery owns Juventus in the second half.
Despite Cristiano Ronaldo’s attempts to pull one back for Juventus, Fiorentina was simply too organized and focused tonight. Franck Ribery led the attack for his side’s second goal that came through an own goal scored by Sandro in the second half.
Near the end of the game, Franck set up the third goal that Martin Caceres got to score to seal the 0-3 result. Ronaldo’s face was a poem after realizing Juventus was getting spanked by another veteran. With this result, Juventus lags behind with the same 24 points they started.
