The Liverpool boss hopes to bag a second successive title this season but accepts Chelsea are ‘favorites’ in the Premier League.
Jurgen Klopp believes Chelsea’s excellent form and squad depth make them favorites to win the Premier League title this season.
Frank Lampard’s side welcomed a myriad of big-money signings over the summer. And while things began on a hard note, the new recruits have begun to hit their stride and help Chelsea embark on a 13-match unbeaten run.
A 3-1 win over Leeds United on Saturday night, meanwhile, propelled the Blues into the top spot of the Premier League table.
“If I watch football games at the moment then Chelsea, for me, look like favorites,” said Liverpool boss Klopp as quoted on Sky Sports.
“They have the biggest squad, great players playing well together after a rusty start – and they are full on.
“They have unbelievable opportunities to change in games and make changes from one game to the other – so that is it.
“I don’t feel we are chasing anyone at the moment – or that anyone is chasing us.
“Pressure is there for us, but it’s about how much you think about that pressure, to be honest.”
Liverpool can leap back in front of Chelsea in the standings by beating Wolves in their own match on Sunday night at Anfield.
