Fresh from another outstanding display, Jude Bellingham singled out one Real Madrid player for special praise.

Jude Bellingham has praised Vinicius Junior, stating his Real Madrid teammate is “probably the best in the world”.

On Tuesday, Bellingham and Vinicius starred together for the fifth time this season as Real Madrid defeated Napoli 3-2 in the Champions League.

The dynamic duo played pivotal roles in the triumph in Italy. Bellingham assisted Vinicius’ goal to draw Real Madrid level after Leo Skiri Ostigard’s opener. The midfielder then scored a spectacular solo effort to put the Spanish giants in front.

“He’s one of the most talented players I’ve ever played with,” Bellingham said of Vinicius in an interview with Movistar Plus+.

“He is probably the best in the world for me.”

Federico Valverde’s rebounded shot later caused an own goal from Alex Meret to seal the victory after Piotr Zielinski equalized for Napoli with a penalty.

‘I’m just trying to contribute in a Jude way’

Bellingham’s impressive goal in the match drew comparisons to the legendary playing style of Napoli and Argentina icon Maradona.

Yet, the 20-year-old played down the parallels, saying, “That’s a bit too much [comparing me to Maradona]!

“It was a nice goal. I’m just trying to contribute in a Jude way.”

Bellingham has scored eight goals in his first nine matches for Real Madrid and dished out a further three assists.

“I believe in myself, but I didn’t know it would be this good,” the midfielder admitted.

With two wins in two Champions League games, Real Madrid sit top of Group C, three points above Napoli and Braga. Union Berlin are fourth, a further three points back.

Bellingham and Vinicius will hope to continue starring on Saturday when Osasuna visit Carlo Ancelotti’s side at the Bernabeu for a LaLiga match.
