It happened during Borussia Dortmund’s Champions League match against Manchester City. Jude Bellingham broke an all-time record.

Jude Bellingham has only needed a handful of games to make a proper impact for Borussia Dortmund, especially today against Man City. Despite failing to qualify to the Champions League semifinals, Jude still managed to make history with his club. After scoring the first goal of the match, Jude became the youngest-ever Englishman to score a goal in this tournament. At 17 years and 289 days, Jude falls only behind Bojan Krkick (17 years and 217 days old).

Although this goal didn’t help his side qualify to the next round, this season has been pretty impressive from Bellingham. The English media is mesmerized by yet another massive discovery with the Euros right around the corner. This kid is expected to play for England next summer and accompany the impressive number of young talents produced by the country.

Bellingham wasn’t the only star tonight.

England has many reasons to be happy about, especially with the overwhelming talent they have at the moment. Dortmund has Jadon Sancho and Jude as two exports from England, but Manchester City also have their young star. Phil Foden just scored the single most important goal for Pep Guardiola during his tenure at Manchester City.

The Catalan manager never reached the Champions League semifinals before today since he arrived, and he got in thanks to a 20-year-old kid. Just a few months ago, Pep revealed Foden was the most talented youngster he ever coached since Leo Messi. That was a big statement to honor Foden, and he just did. Now, we have to see how far he can take the Citizens in their pursuit for their first UEFA Champions League title. Both him and Jude must be happy with their job tonight.
