Chelsea midfielder Jorginho’s agent Joao Santos spoke about his client’s future at the club as transfer deadline closes in.

Jorginho played for the first two games of the Premier League for Chelsea. Although, he stayed on the bench as Chelsea drew 3-3 at West Brom on Saturday last week.

Subsequently, there are rumors about his move away from Stamford Bridge.

The French club Paris Saint Germain appears to be interested in a loan offer for the 28-year-old. Furthermore, Arsenal is also keen to sign Jorginho. It may be an alternative if the club fails to sign Houssem Aouar and Thomas Partey.

Though, in spite of all the rumors around, Jorginho’s agent Joao Santos has other plans. He does not like the idea of his client leaving before the end of the transfer deadline per 90min Italy.

“Jorginho still has a three-year contract with Chelsea, this plus two. I feel a lot of talk about Arsenal and PSG in the last few days. But the reality is that up to now, no official offer has arrived for the player,” Santos revealed.

“The transfer market closes on 5 October. But the more time passes the more difficult it becomes to make such an important operation. So at the moment, I can say that it is just rumors.

“He is happy at Chelsea. He started the season well. And being the vice-captain at the moment he is focused exclusively on the Carabao Cup game against Tottenham,” he added.

The Italy international had connections with Juventus, and Roma more recently. He had plans to go back to his country to play.

Although, as it turns out, Santos cleared all the doubts.

“With Roma, there was absolutely nothing. Hard to see him in Serie A. Because he has an important salary and a cost that only two or three clubs can afford.

“Given the situation and the type of market we are experiencing. It is difficult to think of an operation of this type with so little time available,” Santos concluded.
