With all the bottles Budweiser gifted to goalkeepers around the world, Joe Hart paid tribute to Lionel Messi in a brilliant reaction on Thursday.
Joe Hart is one of the few goalkeepers who received few goals from Lionel Messi in their confrontations. When the two met on a football pitch, Hart only received two goals from the Argentine. Other goalies like Iker Casillas or Diego Alves weren’t so lucky, they could’ve gotten quite hammered with the bottles they got from Budweiser’s brilliant campaign.
Some of these bottles took slightly longer to reach a number of goalkeepers like Joe Hart. Even though this campaign is almost a month old, Joe Hart just got his two bottles and he wanted to celebrate in style. For some goalkeepers, perhaps celebrating the goals they allowed is not the smartest thing to do but this is a special occasion.

All of these goalkeepers have shown how proud they feel for being part of Lionel Messi’s incredible feat. A total of 160 people have been reached by Budweiser to get their respective beer bottles. In Joe Hart’s case, these two will be regarded as trophies as he made it clear through an Instagram post.
“Nothing but respect for the great man Leo Messi seems strange to be ‘proud’ to have conceded goals but at the end of the day, we are dealing with greatness. Congratulations and it’s just a privilege for me and to be a part of his history and an achievement that will never be matched.”
