The Portugal captain is doing his best to help his teammates both on and off the pitch.

Joao Felix has praised Cristiano Ronaldo for his continuous efforts to help the Portugal team off the pitch.

The goals may have dried up for now, but Ronaldo remains as motivated as ever. He is embracing his role as Portugal’s leader and doing his utmost to help his teammates in any way he can.

“Cristiano always greets those who arrive, welcomes them, and gives us tips,” Felix told ESPN Brasil.

“He helps [us] in training, but also off the field, when we’re at the table and everything. He always gives tips and helps us with whatever we need.”

The Manchester United frontman supplied the 43rd assist of his international career on Saturday to set Diogo Jota up for Portugal’s fourth goal in the 4-0 Nations League win over the Czech Republic.

His Red Devils teammates Diogo Dalot (2 goals) and Bruno Fernandes (1 goal) were the other goalscorers for Fernando Santos’ side.

Ronaldo and Portugal are now preparing for Tuesday’s UEFA Nations League showdown against old foes Spain in Braga for their Group A2 finale.
